The rapid heartbeat and all over tingle that is felt when there is a great shock or surprise is a huge part of this. The body reacts to danger in an immediate and proactive way. Once you physiological self senses a need to fight or flee it begins to generate massive amounts of chemicals to make this response happen.

In this modern era of convenience however, the stressors that people generally encounter do not require a fight of flight response. The frantic response that the body generates by releasing adrenaline and other natural, internal stimulants is not necessary and usually remains unused. This creates feelings of anxiety, and causes people to be both jittery and fidgety.

The unused chemicals of this response are typically stored right around the mid-section, creating the dreaded spare tire appearance. By finding activities that can help reduce stress or will enable you to deal with it more proactively can have a wondrous effect on stomach weight loss efforts. If you can manage stress, you can manage your waistline.

Dealing with stress issues does not alleviate the need to institute healthy, balanced eating habits and regular physical activity. It remains true however that people that have been conscious in their eating habits and regular in exercise habits may still have a problem with trimming their mid-section if they are not dealing with stress properly. The fight or flight chemistry of the body can make weight loss in this area quite difficult is stress is routinely mismanaged.

Stomach weight loss can be one of the hardest weight loss goals to attain.
