Weight loss solutions that have worked for people considerably overweight?

I am 20 years old and have struggled with weight issues my whole life. After my pregnancy in 2006, I never lost much weight and now am considerably overweight. I’m 5’7 and around 250 pounds. I am not looking for a “quick and easy” solution but something with long-term results for a large amount of weight loss. Has anyone had any personal experience with losing a large amount of weight? What worked for you? I am considering having some plastic surgery eventually (after I reach my goal weight) because once skin stretches out it doesn’t just go back, but I would like to avoid using plastic surgery as a solution by itself. Any advice would be great, thanks.

    I just dealt with a doctor who took off 150 with a atkins diet…it’s been good to him……..along with ice water….but I won’t say anymore…….he looks great…..but maybe to fast…now he is walking to improve his body again….from packing all the weight you can think about how he looks walking…….but his body is responding……all meat and salads….no sugar or breads…..and think fat’s on your meat…also a lot of fish and white meats…chicken turkey goose duck…..what ever …….I did it when I was younger….but only took 30lbs off in about 21/2 months…….go slow….they just had an article on the atkins diet on tv the other nite…it’s still the best……..take about 5 days before it kicks in gear and after that……away you go…….it’s all true….with no sugar you feel great….but it takes a bit………good luck if you go for it……..remember this guy is a doctor…….so he has the schooling………but one piece of cake leads to a whole cake for him………sooooooooooo….again…all the best.

    I started getting chunky in 5th grade and Ive been fighting weight since then, I’ve tried just about every fad diet I could think of (Atkins, weightwatchers, Jenny Craig, South Beach, 48hour juice, and liquid diets) Here’s a regimen I tried that had the best results and maybe you should try it as well, this is actually a little bit of all the diets I tried but it works! (I lost 35lbs in 2months)

    Day 1
    Breakfast
    1 fruit
    A Bowl of Special K (any kind)
    with reduce fat milk
    A Boiled egg

    Lunch
    A tuna sandwhich
    (with lowfat mayonaise)
    A fresh Salad
    (without added meat just veggies)

    Dinner
    Steam Broccoli or mixed veggies
    2hotdogs without the bun or Chicken breast
    1 cup of Brown Rice

    **For Spices: Lemon Juice/Pepper/cajun seasoning/cinnamon/and no more than 2 tablespoons of margarine

    For snacks: Low fat Jello/ or 2 spoonfuls of peanut butter with an apple would be great!

    Try it out: Repeat the menu everyday for 2 weeks and drink only 6 full glasses of water (8 without excerise may cause water retention!)
    Tips: 30minutes of running or jogging (fast pace walking) kicks this off
    ITS NOT HARD AND IT WORKS!!

    Now whenever it comes to weight loss you should follow these simple steps that have helped me tremendously lose weight, pretty quickly if you ask me. And I’ve been trying to lose weight forever and finally found the correct system to help me out…
